Overcoming Stage-fright

Hey Tiff! Samantha here. I've been wondering, how do you overcome stage-fright and accept/manage criticism?

Anny

It takes time, and practice. The more you do it the more comfortable and confident you'll become. When I had my first performance I was so shaky and nervous. I freaked out about every little thing and every little mistake. After the fact I would beat myself up over lyric slips or things that NO ONE ELSE NOTICED, haha. The sooner you learn to just go up and have fun, the better. Take a deep breathe and just do what you love, I promise it gets easier. As far as criticism, everyone these days is a critic, you will NEVER please them all and that's just how it is. So take the good with the bad and realize you can't make everyone happy. Listen to the love and shut out the noise of the criticism. If only ONE person love you, then do it for them. If you love it, then do it for you! ;)
