Find something that you love and do what you're passionate about. Start by practicing and perfecting what you do. As long as you are doing what you love and it makes you happy, then hopefully your parents will see the joy it brings you. I think the biggest key for being successful is working hard, staying determined, and never giving up. So keep at it and remember to have fun along the way.

It takes time, and practice. The more you do it the more comfortable and confident you'll become. When I had my first performance I was so shaky and nervous. I freaked out about every little thing and every little mistake. After the fact I would beat myself up over lyric slips or things that NO ONE ELSE NOTICED, haha. The sooner you learn to just go up and have fun, the better. Take a deep breathe and just do what you love, I promise it gets easier. As far as criticism, everyone these days is a critic, you will NEVER please them all and that's just how it is. So take the good with the bad and realize you can't make everyone happy. Listen to the love and shut out the noise of the criticism. If only ONE person love you, then do it for them. If you love it, then do it for you! ;)
I don't think your goal should be "to be famous". It has to start with a passion and love for whatever it is you want to do. When people see that they are drawn to it or are inspired by it or entertained & thats where it starts. You need to do what you love and share the video with who you can. If its genuine and people like it, they will share it on their own. Most importantly, it won't happen overnight. Everything takes time to grow and it takes a lot of patience, determination, and hard work. There's no quick answer or easy way to "fame". You gotta just work for what you love & the harder you work the luckier you'll become. :) Here are a few pointers for helping videos do better: -Make sure to have a clear title as to what the video's about. -Post consistently so your audience keeps coming back! -Tag the video with common phrases or things people might search so people can find your video. -Try to have a clean/polished area so it looks nice. -Make sure to have fun and enjoy what you are doing. If you have fun, the people watching are more likely to have fun. -Do it for the passion and because you love it, not for the "fame".
